I truly believe that all children can learn.  I strive to provide opportunities for success through positive environment, a “just imagine” atmosphere, and activities to help students develop self-confidence.  I allow my students to progress at his/her own level, offering challenging options to all students.  I plan my lessons with the multiple intelligences as the focus so that all students will realize his/her full potential.  I incorporate “real world” scenarios into many lessons.

            My grandfather was an elementary principal and my grandmother was an elementary school teacher.  These two played an important role in my decision to become  a teacher. Their high expectations motivated me to always give my best effort.  Encompassing commendable personal and professional characteristics, such as integrity, humor, respect, and perseverance.  My grandfather loved the writings of Mark Twain.  Especially this quote: Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.  Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.  I have tried to instill in my students this ambition.   

Educational background:  Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Masters Degree in Education at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
