Occupational/Physical Therapy

Michelle Miller, COTA/L

I have been happily married to my college sweetheart since 1996. I graduated with an associate of science in occupational therapy from ULM, Monroe, LA in 1996.  I have two beautiful children. My family and I live in Monroe, LA from where I make the commute to Monticello twice a week. We are very involved in our church, Rowland Road Baptist. In my spare time I enjoy photography, cooking for friends and scrapbooking.

As occupational therapists we work with children of various skill levels. Most of the children we serve have a disability such as Autism, Attention Deficit, Down's Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy that limits their abilty to perform at an age appropriate skill level. We assess and treat delays in fine motor control, eye-hand coodination, handwriting, and visual perception.

We also assess the child's ability to concentrate and maintain appropriate behavior in classroom as related to sensory processing. Any referrals to OT should be made through Drew Central's special education coordinator, speech therapist, principal or 504 coordinator. We welcome any questions or comments.
