Mrs. Flemister

My name is Cindy Flemister and I teach Second grade. This is my 6th year of teaching. I have taught 2nd thru 5th grade. I'm married to David Flemister and I have two children. Heidi is a freshman at UAM and Aaron is in the 10th grade at Drew Central.

I enjoy going to church, spending time with my family, and working in my yard.

The reason why I wanted to work at Drew Central was because the staff makes you feel wanted and welcome. Everyone is so helpful and always willing to lend a helping hand. The teachers and administration has always gone the extra mile for their students.

Mrs. Oldner
 

I am Susan Oldner. I am part of the second grade teaching team here at Drew Central Schools. I was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. When I was very young, we moved to Woodlawn and I went to school and graduated from there with honors. I attended UAM and in 1983 and graduated with a BS in early childhood education. I worked in a daycare after school program for one year. Then in 1984, I started my first job teaching at Grady and got married all at the same time. I taught kindergarten at Grady one year, and then I changed to Rison teaching kindergarten and taught there for 7 years. Then we moved to Louisiana. I taught in West Carroll Parish Schools for 14 years. I taught third one year, second grade one year, and kindergarten for 12 years.

I did my student teaching at Drew Central Schools many years ago, so when we moved back to Arkansas and I was looking for a job I thought of Drew Central (and it wasn't too far of a drive from where we moved). The kindergarten teachers that were here at the time I did my student teaching were also a big influence in my decision to put my application in here. They were a dedicated and fun bunch to work with.

I have two boys and a step daughter. My step daughter has 3 daughters of her own and two step sons. My boys love to play X-Box games and computer games. My oldest one has cerebral palsy and is limited in what he can do, but he really enjoys his X-Box and computer. My youngest loves his sports. He plays baseball, football, basketball and he hunts. He also is a red belt in karate. My husband is the sales engineer manager at Varco Pruden in Pine Bluff and he enjoys hunting and fishing. I enjoy stained glass art, scrap booking, and all kinds of crafts.

I graduated from Crossett High School and attended University of Arkansas at Monticello. I completed my student teaching at Drew Central Elementary School. I have taught at Drew Central for 18 years. Hobbies: Reading, Cross stitch, and spending time with my son, Kyle.

Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education- UAM                                        

Job Descriptions:  I teach spelling, reading, English, math, science, social studies, bench mark math and literacy, and writing.
