Parent Center Coordinator

Hello, I am married and have two boys, Allen and Aaron.  I enjoy photography and taking care of animals.  I also enjoy music of all kinds, especially if my husband is playing or my boys are singing.  I started at Drew Central as a volunteer and have been here ever since.

Educational Background: Graduated from Montrose Academy in 1984. Attended U.A.M. for three years. Attending U.A.M  at the present, as a junior.  

Job Descriptions:  I host Family Reading nights, Parenting Classes, help with the Fall fundraisers, Organize volunteers to work on parades and floats.  I also help with the Friday candy sales and try to do anything that can be most helpful to Drew Central Elementary and show it in its best light.

         

 

Mrs. Pace
Library/P.E. Aide

I began working at Drew Central fourteen years ago. My youngest son was starting kindergarten and my oldest was in the ninth grade. I was very fortunate to be able to come to a job that I love and and be on the same hours as my children. 

My job duties include kindergarten pe and helping with preschool recess. When I am not doing one of these things you will find me in the library working with Miss Gardner. I am the librarian aide. I am blessed to be able to work with some of the finest people around. 

My husbands name is Gary. He works for Plum Creek  and we have a lawn care business. My oldest son Jarred lives in Ft. Worth, Texas where he works for the postal service. My youngest , Matt, is in his first year of college where he is on the baseball team.

 Some of my hobbies include, shopping, going to movies, mowing, attending baseball & football games & spending time with my family.

 

 

 

                                                                                                                                       

Jo Ann Norris-Second Grade Aide

I am married to Stephen Norris. We have two beautiful daughters, Anna and Graci Norris.  I love fishing, hunting, working in my yard, anything outdoors. I worked for AmeriCorps for two years and now I am working as the second grade aide.

Job description: I work with all second grade teachers. I teach a DI reading group, grade papers, run off papers, have duty in the TV room in the morning. Also, I have recess duty and sit in the computer lab with the second grade students and I have car rider duty.

Drew Central has made a big difference in my life. The faculty and staff are really great. They are there whenever you need them. My husband was one of the brave men that served his country in Iraq. It was a very hard time for my family but the  people I work with helped me get through all the hard times.

                                                                                            

 

 

Mrs. Jacks-Fourth Grade Aide

I enjoy working with 4th grade teachers and their students. I find it very rewarding to be able to help make Drew Central a better school. I began working here when my son enrolled in kindergarten. I have two sons, DJ and Jon Jon and one daughter Lindsey. My husband is David Jacks, the pastor at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Art, a good book and friends are always an interest to me. Bulletin boards are extra fun!!!!!

 

 

   
 

 

       

Geneva Pipes

I am married to a wonderful man. We have two children, a son and a daughter. We have two wonderful grandchildren which we love very much. My husband and I have been married for 32 years. I came to Drew Central Elementary 12 years ago. I applied for the special education aide and it was luck that I got it, I enjoy my job.

I was in the self-contained room for 10 years. I helped the teacher with what ever she needed. This year I work in the regular class room and I help with two special needs children. I do what ever there is to do in the room that I am in at that time.

                                                                                                                                                

 

 

Mrs. Harrington
Fifth Grade

 I like to read just about any type of book. I started Trout fishing this summer.  My husband and I have a camper and we spent most of the summer fishing.  I started working at Drew Central Elementary School fifteen years ago, after my children were in school.   

Educational Background:  Graduated from North Little Rock High School  
                                    
     Twenty-two hours of college credits from University of Arkansas at Monticello

Job Descriptions:   I teach reading groups and assist teachers in other subject areas.
