Membership
All parents, guardians and faculty of the Drew Central School are eligible to be a part of the PTO by sending back the volunteer form and membership fee. The fee for the 2006-07
school year will be $5 per person.
A PTO member may attend (and are encouraged!) any and all PTO meetings. Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm in the new PTO room in the red brick building.

PTO Volunteer Opportunities
The Drew Central Elementary PTO sponsor and run many school-wide fund raising programs and social events for the ultimate benefit of assisting our school in developing enriching educational experiences for our children. As a volunteer, you are special. The time you offer is a gift to our students and our staff. You are the extra hand offering up a high five of congratulations when a new skill is mastered. You are the extra voice that speaks out to the community on behalf of our students, our teachers, and the important work they do together. You bring unique talents, skills, and energies into our schools. Our students will learn a lot from you!

Rewards
It's seeing the bright light of learning sparkle in a child's eye. It's seeing the smile that shows we're making school a little more fun and a child feel a little more comfortable in a learning environment. It's learning that the test scores have risen and knowing we played a role. There are lots of rewards, both big and small, for those who get involved. Won't you join us?

Accomplishments of the
Drew Central Elementary  PTO:
The PTO has provided playground equipment and awnings for the sidewalks.

We have had prize-winning floats, held a Fall Carnival, and a stupendous Pirate Fest.

DCES PTO has designed and purchased class t-shirts for the Kindergarten & 6th grade graduates.

We honored our teachers with the 1st Annual Teacher of Excellence Awards. Each teacher was given a certificate and a white rose to show our appreciation for all of their hard work.
